Our Story...
Small group trips for solo travellers & backpackers are at the heart of The Backpacker Hub. Founded by Liam and Katie, we started as a TikTok page in January 2024 to make travel accessible to everyone through tips, tricks, and experience-based itineraries. Today, over 36,000 travellers trust our content, and we’ve reached over 13 million people through social media – helping us rethink what travel could be and create group trips designed for connection, adventure, and authentic experiences.
The Backpacker Hub is home to everything a traveller could need: free itineraries, travel advice, up-to-date and experience-based guides and finally expanding further to take you around the world WITH US through The Backpacker Hub Group Trips!
Finding reliable protection, local suppliers, and designing enthralling itineraries with an impressive value for money has been our No.1 priority and we are so excited to share our favourite things with you. From street food treats to enchanting green oceans, we hope you embrace adventures to come and make friends for life within the Backpacker community. This is truly the most rewarding and exciting outcome that could have come from our very first TikTok, and we hope you can see how much love and excitement goes on behind the scenes.

Such an incredible travel company! They go above and beyond to make everyone feel included and welcome. Katie and Liam organised a travel buddy meet up in Manchester recently and it was amazing! Super well organised and planned out and overall just a fun experience! I attended a UK meetup organised by The Backpacker Hub. Katie & Liam are lovely people with a wealth of experience and true passion for travelling. They are inclusive to everyone whether you've any previous experience travelling or not. They really are passionate about creating truely ethical travel experiences, affordable trips and opportunities for like minded people to connect.

I recently attended a backpacker meet up in Manchester, organised by Katie. I went on my own but was immediately made to feel welcome by Katie’s warmth and friendliness. She had organised it all for us, booked an escape room and then lead a walk around the markets. It was great to meet likeminded people who are all so passionate about (ethical!) travel, especially Katie. Can’t think of a better company to travel with and would definitely trust the backpacker hub to organise the perfect trip!
Highly recommend! I was a backpacker living in Australia for 2 years and I recently moved back to the Uk and I found out about the Backpacker Hub via WhatsApp and that led to a Manchester meet up
