These providers may share payment details with us to facilitate the administration and management of your reservations or tours. All third-party payment providers we work with are required to comply with PCI DSS standards and handle payments securely on our behalf.
6.2 In most cases, payments for tours or travel services will be processed through a secure online booking platform. Occasionally, credit card details may be provided over the phone—for example, in cases where The Backpacker Hub Ltd needs to issue a refund. Any bank details collected for refund purposes will be securely handled and used solely for processing the refund.
6.3 To protect your financial information, we kindly request that you never send payment card details via email or other written correspondence to us or any of our partners.
6.4 Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party vendors, including payment processors. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these vendors to understand how your personal information is managed and protected.
6.5 The taking of Photos and Videos by Us: By booking a trip with The Backpacker Hub Ltd, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of photos or videos being taken during the trip by our team, including trip leaders or professional photographers. These photos and videos may be used by The Backpacker Hub Ltd for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to social media, website content, video, general advertising and brochures.
6.5.1 You grant us an exclusive, perpetual worldwide licence to use such footage and images and waive all intellectual property rights in them. You will have the opportunity to opt out of being included in any photos or videos taken for such purposes, and we will respect your decision, as your comfort and privacy remain our priority at all times.
6.5.2 While we take all reasonable steps to respect your privacy, we cannot be held responsible for fellow travellers who may photograph or film you without our knowledge or permission.
6.6 Email, Direct Contact & Marketing preferences: With your permission and/or where permitted by law, wemay also use your personal data for marketing purposes, which may include contacting you by email, text message or post with information, news, and offers on our products and services. You will not be sent any unlawful marketing or spam. As we are based within the UK, we will always work to fully protect your rights and comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Legislation and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, The UKGDPR and other applicable Data Protection Regulations.
6.6.1 You will always have the opportunity to opt-out. Wewill always obtain your express opt-in consent before sharing your personal data with any third-parties for marketing purposes and you will also be able to opt-out at any time.
6.6.2 In some circumstances, where permitted or required by law, we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent.
